Course Catalogue

A course catalogue is the browsable, organised listing of all learning offerings available within an LMS or training platform. It is the learner's storefront — the place they discover, search, and enrol in courses relevant to their role, interests, or requirements. A well-structured catalogue uses categories, tags, search, filters, and descriptions so learners can quickly find what they need. It may show prerequisites, duration, format, and ratings, and can be tailored so different roles or groups see only the courses relevant to them. The catalogue plays a major role in self-directed learning: if learners can't easily find or understand an offering, they won't take it. For platforms that sell training, the catalogue doubles as a marketing and conversion surface. Business impact: A clear, well-organised course catalogue drives discovery and voluntary enrolment, turning available content into actually-completed training — and, for course sellers, into revenue.
