Recertification

Recertification is the scheduled renewal of a certification or qualification that expires after a set period, requiring the holder to complete refreshed training or reassessment to stay compliant. It is central to regulated sectors — banking, insurance, healthcare, manufacturing and safety — where knowledge must be kept current and provable. In an LMS, recertification is managed by attaching a validity period to a certification and configuring the system to automatically re-enrol learners, send reminders, escalate overdue cases to managers, and record the new completion. Done manually this is error-prone and a common source of audit findings; automated it becomes reliable and low-effort. For example, a bank can ensure every advisor renews their suitability certification annually without anyone tracking dates by hand. edzlms supports expiry-driven re-certification with automated reminders and audit-ready records, which is especially valuable for BFSI and compliance-heavy teams in India.
