LTI (Learning Tools Interoperability)

LTI (Learning Tools Interoperability) is an education-technology standard, maintained by 1EdTech, that lets an LMS securely connect to external learning tools and content so they work as if built in. Through LTI, a platform like Moodle can embed third-party apps — virtual classrooms, assessment engines, content libraries or proctoring tools — with single sign-on and grade pass-back, without custom integration for each. It is the glue that lets a learning ecosystem of many specialised tools behave as one.
