Gradebook

<p>The gradebook is the central area in an LMS — most notably Moodle — where every learner's scores from graded activities are collected, calculated and displayed. Teachers organise grades into categories, apply weightings and aggregation rules (such as mean, weighted mean or natural), and control what learners can see. A well-structured gradebook turns scattered assignment and quiz results into a single, transparent view of progress, and is the source for exporting marks or issuing certificates. Getting gradebook categories and weightings right early is one of the most important steps when setting up a course.</p>
