When a child logs in to learn, the platform behind the screen has to disappear — leaving only the lesson.

Teach For India needed one platform to do two things at once: keep its teachers continuously trained on modern, NEP-aligned methods, and deliver engaging digital lessons to students from Class VII to Class X. They came to EdzLMS to build it. Here's how.

About Teach For India

Teach For India is one of the country's most respected education non-profits, working towards the day when all children attain an excellent education. Through its Fellowship it places talented individuals as full-time teachers in under-resourced classrooms across 8 cities, directly impacting tens of thousands of students and reaching millions more through its alumni movement.

The Challenge

Teach For India is one of the country's most respected education non-profits, working towards the day when all children attain an excellent education. Through its Fellowship it places talented individuals as full-time teachers in under-resourced classrooms across 8 cities, directly impacting tens of thousands of students and reaching millions more through its alumni movement.

That scale created a very specific challenge: delivering consistent, modern, high-quality learning to two completely different audiences at the same time — its teachers and its students.

Teachers across India needed continuous, modern training. Fellows and teachers are placed in schools across the country, often joining from non-teaching backgrounds. They needed structured upskilling on technology-led teaching methods, on how to interpret and implement NEP 2020 (National Education Policy) guidance in everyday lessons, and on competency-based, inclusive pedagogy. Traditional in-person training could not scale to a geographically dispersed cohort, refresh fast enough as policy evolved, or give each teacher a path matched to their own starting point.

School students from Class VII to Class X needed reliable digital course delivery. In the same ecosystem, students log in to attend digitalised lessons — structured video, practice, and assessments — regardless of the resources available in their physical school. The platform had to engage teenagers, run on the devices they actually own, and measure real learning.

The Solution

EdzLMS deployed a single AI-first platform serving both teachers and students, powered by seven core capabilities.

AI-Driven Content Generation

Course teams use EdzLMS's AI authoring to produce teacher-training modules and student lessons in a fraction of the usual time — turning curriculum outlines, NEP frameworks, and source material into structured lessons, summaries, and activities. What once took weeks of manual instructional design now takes days, keeping content current as policy and classroom needs evolve.

Interactive Video

Static recordings become interactive video — lessons with in-video questions, checkpoints, and branching. For teachers, training videos pause to test understanding of a new method. For students, video lessons become active learning instead of passive watching, improving completion and recall.

Gamification — Rewards, Badges & Certification

Engagement is driven by points, streaks, badges, and leaderboards. Teachers earn certifications as they complete NEP and methodology tracks, giving them verifiable, shareable credentials. Students stay motivated through reward mechanics tuned for Class VII–X, turning routine coursework into something they want to return to.

AI-Based Question Generator

EdzLMS instantly creates assessments — quizzes, practice sets, and tests — directly from any lesson or document. Teachers no longer hand-build every assessment; the system generates aligned, varied questions on demand, ensuring every module and every student lesson has rigorous, ready-to-use evaluation.

AI Chatbot for All Support Queries

A built-in AI chatbot answers learner and teacher questions 24/7 — from “how do I submit this assessment?” to content and concept doubts — without waiting for human support. This is essential across a nationwide, multi-region cohort where a central help desk could never keep up.

AI Recommendation for Personalised Learning

The recommendation engine adapts each learner's path. A teacher weak on a particular pedagogy is guided to the right module next; a student struggling with a concept is routed to reinforcement before moving on. Every learner gets a path matched to their level — not a one-size-fits-all curriculum.

Mobile App for Easy Delivery

A dedicated mobile app puts the entire experience in learners' pockets. Teachers train between classes and on the move; students attend lessons and assessments on the devices they already have. Mobile-first delivery is what makes reach into hundreds of schools and dispersed teacher placements genuinely possible.

One Platform, Two Audiences

The same robust platform delivers a role-based experience designed for each group.

  • Teachers / FellowsUpskilling on modern, NEP-aligned teaching through training modules and methodology tracks, with AI guiding the next-best module by skill gap and badges plus certification marking progress — all accessible on the mobile app.
  • Students (Class VII–X)Attending digital course delivery — video lessons, practice, and assessments — with AI reinforcement by concept mastery, an AI chatbot for doubts, and reward mechanics tuned to keep teenagers engaged.
