How AIMA Modernised Management Education with a Custom-Built LMS by EdzLMS
The All India Management Association (AIMA) — the country's apex body for the management profession — turned to EdzLMS to upgrade the learning platform behind its corporate training, leadership development and MBA-level competitive examinations. EdzLMS delivered a fully customised LMS with hosting, support, staff training and custom reporting, giving AIMA's students, professors and administrators a single, reliable system to manage education and assessment at scale.

About AIMA
The All India Management Association (AIMA) is the apex body for the management profession in India. Established in 1957, AIMA represents over 38,000 individual members and close to 6,000 corporate members through 68 Local Management Associations nationwide. It runs testing (including the MAT, used by 600+ business schools), executive education, skill development, research, and management development programmes — making it one of the most influential institutions in Indian management education.
The Challenge
AIMA is a leading apex body for the management profession in India, playing a central role in corporate training, education, leadership development and the competitive examinations that feed MBA programs. Serving an extensive network of students, professors and administrators, AIMA needed a learning platform that could support a wide range of educational and training activities while offering robust features for examination and performance tracking.
The organisation chose to build on a flexible, open-source LMS foundation — but needed a partner who could tailor it to AIMA's specific workflows, integrate it with existing systems, host it reliably, and bring faculty and administrators up to speed on the new platform.

LMS Customisation
After in-depth discovery with AIMA's stakeholders, EdzLMS tailored the platform's core for course management, student tracking and examinations — building custom plugins and themes, and designing a clean, branded interface easy for users of every technical level to navigate. The platform was integrated with AIMA's existing systems for seamless data transfer and user management.
Hosting & Support
EdzLMS deployed the platform on a secure, scalable hosting environment with data security and backup built in, and stood up a support framework — including a helpdesk and proactive monitoring — to keep the system available and resolve issues quickly.
Training for Professors & Administrators
Role-specific training sessions, detailed user manuals, video tutorials and quick-reference guides equipped faculty and admin staff to use the LMS confidently, with a feedback loop to refine the training over time.
Custom Reporting & Ongoing Management
EdzLMS built custom reports and dashboards tracking student progress, completion rates and examination results in real time, and established a regular maintenance schedule covering platform updates, feature enhancements and prompt security patching.
