Spaced Repetition

Spaced repetition is an evidence-based learning technique in which material is reviewed at gradually increasing intervals, timed to reinforce memory just before it would otherwise fade. By exploiting the 'spacing effect', it dramatically improves long-term retention compared with massed practice or cramming. Digital flashcard tools and adaptive learning platforms automate the scheduling, surfacing the items a learner is most likely to forget. It is especially powerful for vocabulary, terminology, compliance facts and any knowledge that must be retained over time.
